I’m chuckling here at the orbit I’ve made around the web today. I am considering having my wedding in Manila after seeing my cousin’s son’s baptism party photos at the very chic Events Place. I hadn’t considered Manila venues before, but I spent a bulk of this evening scoping out Manila Hotel (upon my mom’s counsel) and FELL IN LOVE with the Champagne Room. I found your other wedding blog in my search of more photos and pricing information of the Champagne Room and was disheartened by the rental price. I’ve fast forwarded through your most recent plans and got caught up on this-here-blog, and find it amusing that you chose Events Place. I’ve gone full circle in one night. I shall keep peeking in for your latest updates. Perhaps you’ll have me convinced.

Hi Jeromina, thanks for dropping by this site and my other blog, which reminds me that I need to update it soon! It’s been hard to find time between work and school. first of all,congratulations on your engagement and good luck with your own wedding planning! Although I would have wanted a less traditional venue, Manila does not have a lot of them. I tried asking some museums but they either don’t allow it or they’re too expensive. The decision to go with the C3 events place was a combination of factors–convenience, budget and the fact that we have a good relationship with one of their sister restos, C2. They’re all owned by the Cravings Group of restos, which also operates a culinary school. I agree, Champagne Room is just lovely but really pricey. Have you considered venues outside of Manila? There are nice ones in Tagaytay, which is about an hour and 1/2 away. By the way, Paper Plate and Plane looks like such a fun site! I’m not very crafty but I like looking at sites like yours for some wedding (and non-wedding) inspiration. Will browse through your works! =)
